Schmutz Cinema creates a space where erotic imagination and cinematic creativity meet; where intimacy and pleasure are not only entertainment, but an integral part of our emotional wellbeing. Whether you’re a long-time lover of erotic art or just a little curious, Schmutz Cinema welcomes you without judgement and with a good dose of humour.

What does ethical, artistic, and unapologetically hot adult cinema look like today? Join Schmutz Cinema founder Maxi Meissner for an exploration of the modern erotic film landscape. Grounded in four years of live event curation this evening blends film screening, industry insights, best practices, and a guided discussion. Moving far beyond mainstream clichés, Maxi examines what makes adult cinema ethical, how filmmakers and performers elevate explicit film to high art, and how technological advancements, creators and activists shape what we see on screen today.

Omschrijving

Long relegated to the cultural margins, independent, explicit cinema is experiencing a creative renaissance. Feminist filmmakers, queer creators, and pleasure activists have turned the medium into a vibrant space for artistic expression, sex positivity, representation and sexually liberated education. In this special program, curator Maxi Meissner offers an insider’s look at modern erotic film. Pulling from four years of Schmutz Cinema screenings, Maxi highlights personal favorites, standout studio projects, and auteur profiles to provide a practical guide to the best indie erotica available today.
