Stop Making Sense brings Talking Heads back to the big screen. The 1984 film has been restored in 4K to mark the film’s 40th anniversary. The energetic and now legendary concert, directed by Jonathan Demme (The Silence of the Lambs), was shot at the Pantages Theater in Hollywood in December 1983 and features Talking Heads’ most memorable songs such as Once in a Lifetime, Slippery People and This Must be the Place. David Byrne’s absurdly large costume became a legendary fashion statement and image-defining feature of the film.
